Can Human Creativity Thrive in a World Dominated by AI?

During these times when AI is rapidly gaining momentum, I often ask myself: where do artists fit into the algorithm?

3D printers can now mimic the textures of a paintbrush on canvas, making the difference between a hand-painted work and a print almost imperceptible.

Today, a single image can be dragged into an app and instantly transformed into sketches, caricatures, paintings—even videos.

The tools filmmakers originally designed to ease the burdensome and repetitive parts of production have grown so powerful that they may one day erase the very industry they were meant to support.

Already, professionals are feeling the impact. There are fewer creative projects in the market. Film editors cling to their last freelance paychecks, while non-professional creatives deliver cheaper services using AI.

Must artists become tech-savvy to survive?

Yet, I remain hopeful. Perhaps the market will eventually tire of AI-generated images and videos and rediscover a longing for the imperfect, human-made visuals of the past.
